Residents of Flomar Drive in Whittier, CA are thrilled to finally have a sidewalk along their street. Thanks to Measure W, a local bond measure approved by Whittier voters in 2018, the City’s Public Works crew has been hard at work installing new segments of sidewalk and filling gaps to enhance convenience and safety.
These sidewalk improvements are just one example of the positive outcomes made possible by Measure W, which provides crucial funding for important infrastructure projects. This year, money from the bond measure will be used to repair and upgrade streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and other public works projects.
The Public Works staff encourages residents to contact them to request a sidewalk on their street. To do so, call (562) 567-9500 or email pubwks@cityofwhittier.org.
