Yesterday morning, President Trump tweeted that he wanted all Americans to have access to the same treatment for COVID 19 that he received and he wanted them to have free access to it.
An administration source said they were talking to the three companies involved and to Republican members of Congress.
In response, just this morning Regeneron announced that it was going forward with requesting emergency use authorization from the FDA so that more Americans would be able to access its treatment, at the President's request. A statement on the company's website said the Trump administration it would, with full cooperaton from Congress, make sure the treatments were available to all Americans at no cost and the government would take responsibility for distributing the treatments.
The company said it could deliver enough doses for 50,000 patients in the next couple of days and will have enough for 300,000 patients in the next month or two.
In other news, Eli Lilly is also requesting Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA for its own COVID 19 treatment.
Both requests come as Trump has been ridiculed by the left and the foreign owned mainstream media for saying COVID 19 treatments would be available to every day Americans before the election. If the FDA grants the requests from Regeneron and/or Eli Lilly, it would look as if Trump had fulfilled his promise to Americans to have a treatment available before election day.
During the debate, the Biden/Harris team tried to go after Trump/Pence on their handling of COVID 19 but then said they would adopt the same exact policies that the Trump administration has already adopted.
