Several nonprofits and non government agencies are reporting today that at least 15% of Americans are on the verge of death by starvation. According to Feeding America, a national nonprofit, 50 million Americans are facing starvation in 2021, including 17 million families with young children.
Many organizations are struggling to keep up with the crises with Americans now getting as much as 95% of their meals from local churches and other non profit organizations. The numbers represent a minimum 50% increase from this time last year.
Experts are saying the situation has not been this bad since the Great Depression which most people today were not alive to experience.
Many are blaming the lockdowns for America's current food famine with millions of Americans now ignoring COVID warnings and advice in order to feed their families. Fears of their children starving to death is considered a major factor fueling the current COVID spike. People are making stark choices as 2020 comes to a close.
