BIG REDUCTION IN DAILY NEW COVID 19 CASES IN WHITTIER AREA ON THE EVE OF HALLOWEEN-ELECTION WEEKEND

Whittier Area communities made big progress on suppressing the spread of COVID 19 this week according to new data. The new data comes just before the weekly rates were to be evaluated to check if any community's Halloween Safety Alert Color should be changed.

The cities with the top 5 spread rates were:

1. Pico Rivera 12 new cases

2. South Whittier 7 new cases

3. Hacienda Heights 6 new cases

4. City of Whittier 4 new cases

5. West Whittier and La Mirada 3 new cases each
