Whittier 360 is calling both the states of Ohio and Texas for Donald Trump. The win in Texas pushes Trump over the 270 threshold, giving him a second term once confirmed by official counts of any left ballots.
Texas has turned out to be main pivot point of the election. Early on Biden had a strong lead in both states, only to be overtaken and surpassed by Trump later in the counting. Trump's Come Back Kid strategy also worked in Ohio. In total Trump now has 288 electoral college votes.
There are still some outstanding states that have yet to be called but even if the Democrats win those, their road to the White House has now been completely cut off.
