FOR THE FIRST TIME MORE THAN HALF OF WHITTIER AREA COMMUNITIES REACH ZERO NEW COVID 19 CASES

More than half, or 10 communities to be exact, have dropped down to zero new COVID 19 cases yesterday, October 11, 2020.

All the communities were doing a good job in keeping their infections below ten and the two that exceeded that number had exceeded it by only 1 but still have work to do to get it below the ten mark.

The 5 communities with the highest number of new cases were: (if they have the same number they are listed in the same order as they are on the chart)

1. City of Whittier - 11

2. City of La Habra - 11

3. South Whittier - 9

4. Pico Rivera - 7

5. Santa Fe Springs 3

6. Hacienda Heights 3

7. West Whittier/Los Nietos-2

8. Pellisier Village - 1

The communities that had zero new cases yesterday were:

1. East Whittier

2. North Whittier

3. Rose Hills/Spyglass Hill

4. Avocado Heights

5. Sunrise Village (across the street from Spyglass, next to Rose Hills)

6. City of Industry

7. La Habra Heights

8. La Mirada

9. Whittier Narrows

10. East La Mirada
