Missing Senior Dog in South Whittier: Family Asks Public to Check Yards, Garages, and Patios

A South Whittier family is asking the public for help locating their missing senior dog after she disappeared near Mulberry Drive and Mills Avenue in unincorporated South Whittier.

The dog is an 11-year-old female Chihuahua–Poodle mix. She was last seen wearing a cone and a black sock or bandage over an injury on her left side. The family says she normally stays very close to home and does not usually wander.

Because she is small, older, and injured, the family is asking nearby residents to check places where she may be hiding or trapped, including patios, garages, sheds, laundry rooms, under stairs, bushes, side yards, and under parked cars.

The dog may also have been picked up by someone who believed she needed help because she was wearing a cone and bandage.

Anyone who has seen her, found her, or taken her in is asked to contact the family immediately. The family says there will be no questions asked and that they simply want her returned safely.

Residents near Mulberry and Mills are also asked to check any security camera or doorbell camera footage from the night she disappeared.

If seen, the public is asked not to chase her, as she may be scared or injured. Instead, note the exact location and contact the family right away.
