Shelter’s Right Hand 5K Walk: Grand Prize Raffle Announced

Shelter’s Right Hand, a non-profit auxiliary of the Women’s and Children’s Crisis Shelter, has announced that their Grand Prize Raffle for this year’s 5K Walk is a Gift Card Tree with a value of $850. Contributors include Home Depot, Dal Rae Restaurant, Cielo Beauty Bar, Mission Square Restaurant, M Sports Massage, El Cholo Restaurant, Clearman’s Steak n Stein, Salon Cheval, Petsmart, Kohl’s, Old Navy and Target.
The 27th Annual 5K Walk will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Central Park on Friends in Uptown Whittier. The event will start at 8:00am with packet pick up and same day registration starting at 6:30am. Registered walkers will receive a commemorative T-Shirt, medals for the first 650 that finish the course, refreshments and entertainment.
Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and can be purchased on the morning of the walk or sent in advance if received in the mail. The winning ticket will be drawn at 8:30am.
