THE ECONOMY REMAINS TOP ISSUE AMONG VOTERS AS VOTES CONTINUE TO ROLL IN
The economy and COVID 19 continued to be the top issues for voters as ballots rolled in today in Whittier.
The economy was at the top of 68% of Whittier voters' minds today as they waited in line to cast their votes.
COVID 19 was the number 1 issue for 47% of voters.
Education came in third with 38% of voters saying it was a top issue.
Other issues:
Racial Injustice was cited by 30% of voters
Riots were cited by 33% of voters
Law Enforcement Reform was cited by 20% of voters
The cost of rent in Whittier was cited by 22% of voters
The availability of jobs was cited by 32% of voters
Immigration issues were cited by 32% of voters
Concern about crime has risen to 35% of voters saying it was a top concern for them. When you look at which issues are polling high it appears Republicans have a home field advantage because those tend to be their issues with the exception of COVID 19 and Education.
