Whittier 360 News Network is an independent local news organization serving the Whittier community. Our mission is to provide accurate, fact-based reporting on local government, elections, public safety, and community issues so residents can make informed decisions.
Nonprofit Status
Whittier 360 News Network is currently in the process of exploring and preparing for potential recognition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This designation is granted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to organizations that operate for educational and charitable purposes.
If approved, Whittier 360 News Network would operate as a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to serving the public interest.
Political Endorsements
In alignment with nonprofit standards and in preparation for potential 501(c)(3) status, Whittier 360 News Network does not issue endorsements of political candidates in any election.
Our role is to inform the public—not to advocate for or against any candidate. We provide coverage, analysis, and reporting so that voters can draw their own conclusions.
Editorial Independence
Whittier 360 News Network maintains full editorial independence. Coverage decisions are based on newsworthiness, public interest, and relevance to the Whittier community.
We are committed to:
Accuracy and fact-based reporting
Transparency in sourcing and methodology
Providing context on issues that affect local residents
Donations and Support
If 501(c)(3) status is approved, donations to Whittier 360 News Network may become tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Community support helps sustain independent local journalism and allows us to continue providing coverage that is accessible to all.
Ongoing Updates
We will provide updates to the community as the nonprofit application process moves forward.
