Get ready, Whittier! The holiday season is kicking into high gear with the 70th Annual Uptown Whittier Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. This beloved community tradition is set to bring festive joy, music, and holiday spirit to Greenleaf Avenue.
Parade Highlights
The parade will start at the intersection of Greenleaf Avenue and Hadley Street, travel south along Greenleaf, and make a turn onto Mar Vista Street. Spectators are encouraged to grab a cozy spot along the route to enjoy the vibrant floats, marching bands, and performances as they make their way through the heart of Uptown Whittier.
This year’s theme, “A Whittier Rock ’n’ Christmas,” promises a celebration filled with favorite holiday hits and plenty of festive surprises.
Special Guest Grand Marshal
Adding star power to this year’s festivities is Belissa Escobedo, a Los Angeles native and rising Hollywood star. Known for her roles in Blue Beetle, Hocus Pocus 2, and NBC’s latest hit show, Happy Place, Belissa is sure to bring excitement and pride to the parade. Her participation as Grand Marshal highlights the strong ties between Whittier and its artistic community.
