Contradicting claims made by members of the Black Lives Matter Movement and other protesters as well as the mainstream and foreign owned and managed media outlets, the actual video of the confrontation shows that offices were fired at first before they had even entered the apartment.
According to the video, the officers went to the apartment and opened fire after they had been fired at first. The video shows the shots that hit one of the officers, came from inside the apartment. The video shows the bullets that hit the officer came through the door of the apartment.
Many activists who have not seen the video have said they still want the officers fired and thrown in prison however.
Others who saw the video said that it showed the jury had reached the right decision but that it was disappointing for social justice activists who had been advocating for justice for Taylor on the assumption that she and her boyfriend were innocent and unarmed victims of out of control cops. The video directly disproves that narrative and proves that Taylor was not a martyr but simply in the wrong place at the wrong as the video shows she was caught in the cross fire between her boyfriend and the police who were shooting at each other.
